Our approach in restorative agriculture not only supports

Ultimately, our dedication to organic practices reflects our respect for nature and our desire to contribute positively to the world around us.

Our prOCESS
We implement many measures to make sure our plants are grown in a safe and healthy environment, free from harmful contaminants that could affect both our crop and consumer health. To do this, we thoroughly test our hemp throughout growing, harvesting and post-processing. By testing the soil, water, flower and end products, we are able to ensure that there are absolutely no traces of chemicals or pesticides present, and

ensure the highest quality and desired potency within our hemp cultivation and CBD extraction processes. But we take this a step further—with our frequent soil and water testing, we are able to further prevent any toxic substances or nutrient deficiencies from ever building within our plants. Then, by testing our hemp flower and end products, we ensure that we are getting consistent, desired potency of CBD to be processed into our products. We do everything at industry standard, and more, in order to continue to meet our own high standards that let us create the highest quality products, maintain trust with our consumers, and uphold the integrity of the hemp industry.

Q: CAN I TAKE YOUR PRODUCTS WITH MY JOB?
A:
We are legally not allowed to say. It is always the consumer's responsibility to know the regulations around their place of employment regarding taking products like CBD. For regulations such as drug tests, Highland Hemp cannot make any claims as to whether or not levels of compounds exceeding your place of employment's regulations will show due to using our products. However, we can guarantee that all of our products contain 0.3% or less THC, which is the compound most commonly tested for. It is your responsibility to understand the acceptable levels of THC for drug tests at your place of employment, and if you choose to consume one of our products, to do so responsibly by following the directions and dosing guidance printed on the label. Thus, it would be wise to inquire about the testing protocol at your place of employment and comparing its parameters to the levels within the product before use.
For concern about how a CBD product may make you feel in regards to performing your tasks at work, please defer to the above question, "Will this 'get me high?'"
Q: CAN I TAKE CBD WITH OTHER MEDICATIONS?
A:
Please ask a licensed physician about the potential effects or contraindications of taking full-spectrum CBD with your current health and with any medications you may be currently taking. We understand that some doctors may not acknowledge the potential beneficial effects of natural or herbal substances, such as CBD. However, whether or not you decide to take CBD is entirely the consumer's responsibility. It is your responsibility to do your due diligence by first talking with your doctor and using your own discernment. We recommend making as informed of a decision as possible, including finding and reading medical research papers that may be relevant to you and your health.
Q: WHICH PRODUCT IS BEST FOR ME?
A:
We offer a variety of many products in order to deliver organic, high-quality CBD to our customers in a way that best suits their own unique needs. Which product(s) are best for you are ultimately up to you and your desired effects. Our topical products, such as the CBD Muscle Relief Oil, are able to more quickly target specific areas experiencing pain or other symptoms of inflammation, including skin irritation, in order to start delivering CBD's potential healing effects. Our ingestible products, such as our CBD Tincture and our CBD Gummies, may be better suited at providing potential healing and symptom relief on an internal-focused level.
Q: HOW MUCH SHOULD I TAKE?
A:
We always advise first speaking with a licensed physician in regards to deciding if you should take CBD and what the best dose is for you and your unique health. A general guide to dosing can be found on the back of all our product labels. For CBD products intended for a topical application, a dosing guide may not be given, but we always advise to begin in smaller amounts first as you would discern best for you, and then gradually increase as you may see fit in order to produce the desired effects. Milligram dosages are conveniently marked on the glass droppers of each bottle of tincture product.
FAQ
Q: WHAT DOES CBD DO?
A:
*Please note: Nothing in this section or within the website itself is to be taken as medical advice.
As always, we encourage everyone to use their best discernment and do their own research on the effects of CBD, to find and read the existing medical research, and to first speak with a licensed physician before use.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the 150+ naturally occurring phytocannabinoids found in certain strains of hemp and in all cannabis plant strains. CBD is the abbreviated version of cannabidiol, which is one of the leading compound found in hemp plant, as naturally hemp has more CBD than any other compound found in its chemical composition. CBD is a cannabinoid, and due to their relationship with the body’s endocannabinoid system, it is a unique compounds from others, it uses cannabinoids to perform regulatory actions which affect our overall wellbeing.
There is some experience that CBD has a positive effect in managing and treating chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety, anxiety disorder, depression, diabetes type 1, diabetes type 2, seizures, and also combined with allopathic approaches to diseases including chemotherapy and radiation therapy for treating cancer. No toxic dose for CBD is known, and there is no record from any source of a death or serious injury from CBD as of this writing. CBD may be useful either as treatment for a specific illness or in a smaller dose for maintenance of good health.
In simple terms, we believe in the strong potential for CBD to have healing effects on the body even though within the current legal climate, we are not legally permitted to make any certain claims.
You can read more about cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system here.
Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THC AND CBD?
A:
Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is the chemical or drug made in the cannabis that causes a person to feel different. Cannabis works by sticking to special receptors in the brain and body, which is known as the endocannabinoid system or ECS. There are 2 kinds of receptors, CB1 and CB2. Over time, a person will need more THC to feel the same effects as before. This is known as tolerance. A person may also experience withdrawal, which can be uncomfortable and is a result of stopping THC use quickly after using it for some time.
To some, these withdrawal symptoms are considered to evidence the potential for THC addiction and other negative health effects. As many know, THC has psychoactive properties which can make someone feel "different" or "high." As the effects themselves can be undesirable and uncomfortable, with careful plant cultivation, the many compounds of THC (such as THC Delta 8-10) are able to be separated out and quelled from the other cannabinoids. These other cannabinoids are believed to promote all of the healing effects found within the hemp plant while maintaining the lowest possible levels of THC. We specifically grow to produce the highest quality of CBD with all of the healing effects of the full-spectrum of cannabinoids without any of the undesirable or psychoactive effects of the THC compounds.
Q: DO YOUR PRODUCTS HAVE THC?
A:
In accordance with the Federal Farm Bill, all of our CBD products are tested by trusted third-party labs to ensure that our products contain a level of 0.3% or less THC. You can view the lab tests or Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each batch of products either on the product page in the Store or by finding your batch number here.
Q: WILL THIS 'GET ME HIGH?'
A:
In short: when following responsible product consumption and dosing per the individual's own unique body--no. How much someone chooses to consume or dose at any one time is the responsibility of the consumer's, as everyone's body is different. However, we can say that in most cases, it would generally require one to irresponsibly exceed the recommended dosing and consume a large amount of CBD product in order to induce feeling what most people call 'high.' More information about the effects of CBD as compared to those of THC can be found in the preceding questions.
Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 'BROAD-
SPECTRUM' AND 'FULL-SPECTRUM' CBD?
A:
The general distinction between broad-spectrum CBD and full-spectrum CBD is with the amount and variation of cannabis compounds each CBD product contains. When a CBD product contains multiple naturally occurring cannabis extracts, like terpenes and other cannabinoids, it is called full-spectrum CBD. Broad-spectrum CBD contains a lesser variation in the types of cannabis compounds found within full-spectrum CBD.
At Highland Hemp, we only sell full-spectrum CBD products. To produce broad-spectrum CBD often involves more artificial processes that reduce the amount of variation within the cannabinoids in the CBD that we believe are vital to inducing the greatest potential healing effects for CBD. In order to produce many of the broad-spectrum CBD products, it involves inorganic processes that do not align with our values. In short, we only cultivate our hemp plants with organic and natural processes in order to ensure the highest quality, full-spectrum CBD and lowest possible levels of THC.
More information specifying the differences between each cannabinoid compound as they may be found in either full-spectrum or broad-spectrum products can be found here.
